Customized Pants & T-shirts

Troupe member Wanda is customizing a pair of pants for her participation in our troupe.

If you are interested in getting a similar pair, in shorts, crop, or long, leave a comment on this blog post.  As a member of the troupe, her seamstress will be willing to work with you.

Here are the details:

• The fabric can be purchased for $8.95/yd at THE FABRIC STORE (on Goat Street, the one-way street between Lionel Roberts Stadium & L & C Milliner Dept. Store).  It is available in orange (which may look like red on your computer screen), yellow, and brown (not shown).  The green fabric is SOLD OUT (Wanda bought the last 3 yards of it).  Based on your size, the ladies at the store can let you know how many yards you need to purchase, along with some elastic for the waist. (see attachment for fabric swatches).
• The first sketch is a crop style (see attachment).  This will cost $25 to make.
• The second sketch is a longer pant (see attachment).  This will cost $30 to make.
• If you are interested in making a pair of shorts (no sketch available), the seamstress will charge $15.
• Wanda is also doing ribbons and scarves to attach to her pants.

Now that we have a customized bottom, let's talk about customized tops (cutting t-shirt, adding ribbons, etc.).

If you're interested in a customized t-shirt look, these are some people in our troup to contact:

1.    Wanda (her friend who did the sketches also does customized t-shirts for many people during Carnival)

2.    Cynthia, Zumba instructor (she often customizes Zumba tops)

3.    Joni, Zumba instructor (who also customizes her own tops)

4.    Monique, another troupe member

Monique (who works @ WAPA) mentioned on Saturday that we could get some bright colored t-shirts (i.e., hot pink, lime green, turquoise, bright orange) for customization as well.  Let her know if you are interested in purchasing by contacting her via comment on the blog.  She also has a friend who customizes t-shirts as well.
